How to use and take care of your gérald genta watch
Gérald genta watches are manufactured in Switzerland at La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton.
We recommend that you have your watch serviced every three to five years to ensure it remains in good working order.
Additionally, we recommend that you test the water resistance of your watch every year. If the water resistance is not accurate, a maintenance service will be required.

To ensure the enduring longevity of your watch, please follow these recommendations:
Prevent magnetization by avoiding contact with magnets, telephones and security scanners. Protect your watch from external shocks, which can seriously damage the movement.
We do not recommend wearing your watch when engaging in intense physical activities and sports (lifting heavy objects, golf, swimming, etc.).
If not worn regularly, your mechanical watch will need to be fully wound to ensure proper operation. Use the winding crown located at 3 o’clock to wind the watch manually.
Exposure to extreme temperatures may cause a small amount of condensation beneath the glass of your watch. It will disappear on its own and will not affect the operation of the watch. If the condensation persists, we recommend that you contact your gérald genta representative to have it checked, which you can do by submitting a form here
Please note that your watch is only water resistant when its crowns is (are) pushed in or screwed down (if applicable). When the watch is underwater, do not set the time or adjust or pull out the crowns. Rinse your watch with fresh water after any exposure to salt water. Avoid contact with water if the watch is equipped with a leather or canvas strap.
We recommend cleaning your watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to ensure that it maintains its aesthetic and functional characteristics. The lifespan of a leather strap depends on its exposure to humidity and its frequency of use. Rubber bracelets can be cleaned with slightly soapy water. Steel bracelets may be scrubbed with a soft brush and soapy water to remove deposits from between the links. Store your watch in a cool, dry place, and protect it from dust, humidity and extreme temperatures.
